Can anyone tell me about the construction of the Alien X riser? I just bot a Firecat TR2 in April and learned that it has a 3 piece riser. Is the Alien made of one solid piece of aluminum or is it pieced together as well?

Are any of the Martin or Rytera risers made of single piece construction?

Probably the Scepter, but as far as I know all the parallel limbed bows have modular risers. It's been that way for several years.

I posted earlier about the finish on my TR2 cracking around the upper joint where the riser is joined together. Now you can feel the joint with a fingernail. Is there an issue here or is this normal because of the force exerted from shooting?

It's been known for decades that risers flex and vibrate when the bow is drawn and shot. It's not something you can perceive, though. I remember your original post and it seems that maybe the bolts are working themselves loose. You can take the logo off at that joint and check the bolts with an Allen wrench or, as I would suggest, get it to a dealer and have him look at it. If the bolts are loosening then it's better to get it taken care of before it causes any undue wear to the pins or their pockets.

I just picked it up from him last week. Had to have a cable replaced that was wearing just below the upper cam. He checked it out and didnt find any thing else wrong. I just didnt notice that I could feel the joint when I took it in.
