I was trying to tune a friends Jennings Compound bow and noticed a
major clearance problem. The fletchings hit the string and cable and the riser.
The center shot looks good it just seams like the riser shelf isn't deep enough and the cable guard doesn't move the cable and string over enough.
Is this normal? I couldn't paper tune the bow and feel this is the problem.
I don't have this issue with either of my Martin bows.
His bow is a twin cam from the late 80s or early 90s.

What kind of cable guard is it? If it's a dog leg, can you turn it? ...Oh, just seen they hit the riser too. Hmm, are you sure the cams are put correct (the bow is old and it's not impossible the cams to be changed by somebody)?

I'll have to check that out the next time I see him. That could be the problem.
The cable guard is straight.

Can you post a picture or two? I had a Jennings or two in my time. Maybe seeing what you desrcibe would be more beneficial.

The fletchings hit the string and cable and the riser.

Watch for torquing the bow, you could try rotating your nock as well.

I'm going on vacation but I'll see if I can get some photos of the bow with an arrow nocked when I get back. My Buddy is shooting with it and says he's doing pretty good with it.
