View Full Version : Idler wheel

I have a new martin saber and the idler wheel is wearing the string, less than 100 shots. It looks like the wheel is beveled on one side and the other side is straight and sharp which is cutting the string. I already show wear on the string. Just asking for help.

Looks like it needs bevels on both sides after all. ;)
Sounds like this is a warrant claim jkimes.

It would take a little doing, but maybe take the tension off the limbs and flip the idler around. It's not all that hard. Just remove the E-clip, tap the axle out, flip the idler and put it all back together.

wow... I may know someone that had the same problem, ME. I had a post a few threads back stating the same problem. Either swap the idler wheel around or do like I did and bevel the other side. You may also want to get the string served where it rolls over the wheel.
Common problem on many of the bows. I took mine off my moab and honed the sharp edge off.

Like how you guy's fix this problem, don't like the reason why you have to though. So many threads here on the same subject. ;)
