Drawboard

Just out of personal interest: Who of you guys has his own drawboard?

Reason i ask is that i finished my own one today. Applied the scale with up to 40" draw today and painted some decoration in red and white. I will have to add another layer of red tomorrow but after that everything will be fine.

I used a table that stood in the cellar and added some extra wood to give it more stability. Furthermore i added a roof lath beside the winch to apply the scale. The bow will be hold by a aluminium bolt made out of a limbsaver stabilisator. I added a second bolt in front of it to secure the bow and prevent it from slipping out. The bolt is covered with a mellow foil. If you are interested i will show you some pics.

I am quite proud of the construction although it is nothing special..

Built my own drawboard some time back and use it often. Took less than one hour to put together, nowhere near as sophisticated as yours Montalaar, but it gets the job done!

no 1 shows the draw board with scale

no 2 shows the scale more detailed

no 3 shows a detail of my 'artwork'

no 4 shows the post to hold the bow with its softened finish. The small stripes are just as decoration.. The plate between the posts is made out of steel and also covered with the mellow foil. If needed the bow can also be put onto the front bolt.

I built mine about a year ago and it has been a great tool for adjusting and checking things. So much easier and safer than pulling it by hand from a hook on the wall. I will post up a pic later today.

I just checked my carbon ShadowCat.

The Cams are just a tad out of time. But as it shoots great i will not change that. The top Cam is a bit 'later' than the bottom Cam. Just around 1/20".

I also measured the draw weight and came to the result of 59lbs which is pretty good for a bow that should have 60lbs. I also filmed that whole thing and will nwo draw a force-draw-curve. What i saw while i was drawing was pretty good. The CAT-Cam seems to have a nice plateau.
