I am having probs with keeping the cable gaurd rod from rotating. Can I use a ccs roller system on my 05 Couger lll?
Thanks for any help.

No, the riser has to be machined to accept the CCS.

Are the set screws vibrating loose?

sounds like you need a new cable rod, or set screws

If it has set screws then just use #242 Loctite on them if they are loosening up.

I shot my pair of Cougar III Mags with nitrous cams a ton. Killed a lot of deer with the camo one and the silver flame Cougar Mag will never leave my possession! It was the bow I used to win state ASA 3D championships, money at the Lancaster Classic, tortured N. Carolina wanna' be spot shooters and shot some 60 X spot scores.
I have in the past after installing the cable guard with lock-tite on the screw squirted right much lock-tite into the cable guard hole. I gave it a day to set up and never had another problem.
If the cable guard is burred from set screws try smoothing it with sandpaper and then roughen it evenly with coarser paper.

deburr it ,then install in location you want it. mark spot with flet pen, file/ grind smalll flat at pen mark. dont need much then add blue loctite to set screw
