recently purchased a jaguar take down recurve bow. The limbs seem to be some sort of composite/ laminate wood material. Any suggestions on what if anything to put on the limbs to protect them from the elements?
They should be finished so you don't need to worry about it, but if you really want it you can use some simple stuff - i'd put a really thin film of fried sunflower oil, string wax, bee wax or candle wax, goose-fat, etc. May be the more experienced trad archers here will give some better ideas, but the simpler the better i think :)

It should be sealed enough without putting on anything. Just give them a wipe down after use. You could use a wax like Alex said. :)

I like to use a light furniture wax and sometimes I clean them with straight lemon juice and then come behind it with a light wax. I also like silicone based waxes, but that is just me. Your mileage may vary.

Another vote for Lemon Pledge. I just buy the 'wipes' and use them on all my bows.
