Though I have never owned one, I have only heard great things about them.

I've only just come inside from shooting my 09 Alien, which I havn't touched for several months. It was like I'd been shooting it yesterday. It is truly an awsome bow, quiet, virtually no hand shock and extremely fast. I was shooting at 20 yards and the sound of the release and the thunk of the arrow hitting my bag was almost one noise.

What year model? Also make sure you are buying from a legit dealer or warranty might not apply,

awsome! smooth, fast, and the best looking bow out there. i have 2 an 09 & a2010 , they are also quite if you get the cams timed properly.

- REALLY smooth draw cycle, though it feels like it going to take off if you aren't concentrating.
- Very quick.
- Very quiet, though I have heard quieter speed bows.
- Looks cool.
- Very little hand shock, though again I have felt less in other speed bows with parallel limbs.
- VERY light, which is awesome if you ask me.
- I find the grip uncomfortable, but this can be rectified with an after market prosthesis.
- For the price, it isn't a bad bow.
- 4 out of 5

The AX is an excellent bow. Ive had an 09 and now have a 10. grip was fatter on the 09 which i liked better but the 10 is lighter. 09 was faster but only by a touch(3 fps with exact specs) list is $729 but I have seen them for $620. if it is a 10 for 560 NIB delivered I would take it.

Speed - 10
Noise - 9
Hand Shock -9
Shootability -10
Smoothness - 10
Grip Comfort -8
Weight - 10
Fit and Finish - 9

I love my AX!
But I also have to add that I am better at long range shots with the AZ.

my alien came in!!! too bad its raining!!!!!!! AND its going to rain tomarrow!!!!! lol im gunna check ibo before i set it up :D

EDIT: threw my rest on, did my centerline, set a loop, set my modules. holy crap they were right about the buttery draw. went and drew my cheetah....yeah pretty good... but yeah... sweet. gunna try my 360 grain arrow tomarrow and see what it does over the chrono.

11-13-2010, 07:19 PM
lol shot over the chrono with my alien..... and over the target into the feild.... dont know for sure what it was shooting at.... i got 1 320.... and a 310 and a 304.... idk i wasnt shooting over consistantly so i gotta toss the whole works. should have been to ibo....lol i dont think it was though. anyway, i rigged the string, put the sight on and peep and silencers on. might tune it and sight it in tomarrow too. after tracking a deer with my buddy in the morning :D

11-14-2010, 04:09 PM
yeah so attampted to tune my alien.... lol i gotta change something as i cant hit the brad side of a barn. im floating all over and cant seem to anchor for a steady sight picture. out of curiosity, i whipped out my cheetah, and im ROCK SOLID. with tiny groups. im thinking i need to move my peep and kisser. lol really its like shooting my cheetah with a 6pack in me, and is terribly sad. on the plus side its a freeking fireball. just needs a bit more tweaking. i guess i didnt know how dialed in i was with my cheetah :D

EDIT: im pretty sure my peep is just too high. :D

Might want to check the draw length. DL can cause the floating also.

EDIT: im pretty sure my peep is just too high. :D

To set your peep height draw back bow with eyes closed , set anchory points, open your eye should be looking threw your peep,If you can't see threw your peep just move it in the direction that your looking. pretty easy, you probably knew that though.

11-15-2010, 07:08 PM
lol yeah. ive been shooting with a peep for 3 months though! im pretty new and with my cheetah i had a similar experiance to the "front sight epiphiny" (sorry i cant spell) and everything in my sight picture literally LOCKED DOWN when i finally got everything adjusted correctly. i basically drew my cheetah, and made my sight picture, then drew the alien and adjusted acordingly!!

11-17-2010, 05:22 PM
ok so i was wondering if i can put my slider from my cheetah over to my x. the ccs system scares me? lol. idk just curious...

As far as I know you can. But I'd wait for some of the others to chime in.

11-17-2010, 10:34 PM
Justin, i'm not 100% sure but think that there's no hole for a cable rod in the riser. If there is, you must consider that some of the bows (or may be all) using the ccs have a half inch longer cables.

11-18-2010, 04:05 AM
my cheetah has a cable rod bolted where the css is bolted (or screwed) on on my X.. yeah i was curious about cable length though.

11-18-2010, 04:38 AM
Yes you can as long as your fletching will clear. You can keep the same cables but you will drop about 3lbs of max draw weight. Also have to change your center shot position. Another option is to put a washer under the front ccs mount to move the cables a bit closer to center. If ya choose to do that be sure to replace that screw with one longer than the factory one.
There is nothing wrong with the ccs on the AX. Personally - I would just shoot it and not worry about anything.

11-18-2010, 05:01 PM
yeah..... thats what im going to do..... i would do the math to figure everything out but you know..... i dont really want to...

i will check my module screws faily frequently though
