Hi,

I'm new to the forum and have a question about the bushings on the Furious cams in my S4. I was replacing cables and string and noticed that the both cams has significant slop on the axles. While I could still get it tuned for no lean, I would like to get some fresh bushings in them for some piece of mind. Does Martin or others sell/install bushings for these cams?

Many thanks and I hope to frequent the forums more. The 07 S4 is new to me and just over a month old and I have an 04 SlayR SE that I will be converting to NOS X when I get around to making some strings and cables for it (another new endeavor).

Good morning,
Looks like I'm the first guy up, welcome to the Martin Tech forum. Un fortunatally, I know nothing about Furious cams. Some one will be along in a while and will help you.
Are the the same rmercado that posted in this thread on Archery talk ? post 34?

If you are, did you ever find those Nitrous B cams and mini mods you asked about?

Yes, I am. I eventually found a set of NOS B with X mods. Copterdoc straighten me out that I needed the regular mods, not mini-mods for the B's to get 28". Now I think I need the long axle kit, but don't really know if I need them yet. Have C cams that I would like to get mini X mods for, and I'll just keep a look out.

Haven't decided on Nos A cams, but would need mini-mods to get my DL on the S4 with elite limbs - from my research.

I'm one of a few that hunt with a shoot thru system, and I too, put in a wide axle to gain vane clearence. One of the reason I went to the wide axle was to stop the cables from rubbing against each other. So I just used one wide axle on the bottom limb. And it worked, to a point. Now my cables weren't rubbing on each other and I had vane clearence, but now I had cable twang. By the time I got cat wiskers on every cable top and bottom, it finally quieted down some, but never as quiet as it was with the cables touching. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the effort, easier to just keep the cables well waxed.
Check my thread " Nitrous Camed Bows" looks like we are building a list of who has what, making it easier to find things like mini mods. :D
