Have you thought about the Firecat360?Pretty well the same specs as the Ridgehunter,$30 more and you get the SOS(string stop),which needs to be ordered extra for the Ridgehunter and Excile.

Hi,

I've got a 2011 Martin Ridge Hunter. The dealer I bought it from (Custom-Fit Archery in GA) very kindly threw in an SOS in the deal. Very good bow. I love my Ridge Hunter and am retiring my 09 Martin Saber for hunting.

For target shooting, nothing beats my shoot-through Martin Scepter4 but it's just too long (and heavy !) to use for hunting.

So, try both bows and buy the one that fits you best. Getting a bow is a very personal choice.
