Pretty much put the shotgun down two years ago and I couldn't be happier. Up close and personal. Find I'm more patient when I get set up in the blind. Spring is coming!

This guy was rubbing against the blind in full strut, had to wait till he moved away to shoot him at 5 yards.

Shot this one at 12 yds, came in from behind me; first heard him gobble a long way off.

Looks like a lot of fun. I will have to get set up with the kids to do some turkey shooting. We just mainly hunt deer right now.

Nice job! nice pics and nice birds!

Will you be able to shoot that 64 " recurve from your penthouse blind? Seems like you'd have to be sitting. :D

Nice, the brand or type of bow doesn't really matter. You using a blind?

CaptJJ you have listed an Altitude 04 as one of your bows. I had a 02 and loved it. How do you like yours?

Great little bow, I really like it, one of the first "micro" bows; pretty accurate, managed three robin hoods with it. Also took several deer, a couple coyotes, a bear and a turkey with it. I don't shoot it much anymore, it does have some hand shock/vibrattion that I don't feel with the newer bows.

I have yet to get a turkey with one of my Martins, but have killed 3 with another brand of bow. Last year was my first year hunting out of a blind, and while it was nice, I never got a bird in close enough. Hoping this year will be different. Always before, I tucked down in the brush, or hid behind a small chunk of camo netting. MUCH nicer sitting comfortably in a blind. lol

Neighbor has been complaiming about the turkeys making a mess in his orchard, so I'll be setting up under an apple tree this spring, unless I can get that old truck cleaned out. He has an old truck half burried in brush thats been there 15-20 years, with the bed cleaned out, my Ameristep G 20 popup will just fit in the bed, should be good. :)

With turkeys you don't have to worry about hiding the blind.;) You don't need any mesh either, wear black and close the back windows.
