TRG, CCS, CABLE GUARD, SHOOT THRU ! WHAT IS YOUR PREFERENCE.

I "cheated" some as I checked "TRG" and "cable guard" due to my recent fabrication of a home-made TRG with cable slide. I simply took the idea of allowing the cables to move inward from Martin's TRG and the Tilt Tamer product by incorporating the use of a cable slide with an inward bent cable guard rod. So far I like it and it seems to be performing well.

I voted Shoot Thru. For those who have never shot one? Give it a try if you ever get the chance. Then you'll understand my choice.

x2:) I couldn't say it better.
I voted cable guard (use it and like it) and shoot thru - have heard only good things about it and since i don't hunt i have no concern that i can cut a cable with the broadhead.

I can't say since TRG is all I know at this point.

My firecat has the cable guard and my dragon is shoot thru. It's a lever limb bow and it's the smoothest drawing bow I have ever shot.

Looks like the good old cable guard is still very popular here. Now if only we can get Martin to........
