What would a set of 9L elites max out at on a M-33 prowler with Z-cams and a 29 or 30" draw? If it's greater than 60 lbs, is the best way to decrease the poundage to 60 lbs by short stringing the bow or by adjusting the cables? Also, does Martin publish a technical manual regarding how to set up and tune the FURY X cam? My Martin proshop guy is going out of business and between me and my 2 sons, we have a total of 4 FURY X Martins in my home and I want to know how to take care of/tune my equipment in the future (just bought a bow press, now I need knowledge). Thanks

Frank:
A pair of size #9 Elite limbs on a M-33XRG Prowler Elite with Z Cams, regardless of draw length, will give you about #70 draw weight. Installing a bowstring shorter than standard will both reduce performance and draw weight. I do not recommend reducing the bowstring more than 1" from its original length, which should reduce this bows draw weight to about 65#. To further reduce the weight, I recommend simply turning out the limb bolts on each limb about 1 1/2 to 2 turns.
Our current owners manual contains information on setting up and tuning X Cam systems. If you do not have a manual, please give us a call (509-529-2554) or send us your address and we'll be glad to send one to you.
