The two jakes went by, then only decided to come in after one of the two hens they were with wanted to check out my DSD hen decoy. The first jake had a short stubby beard; I took the second, larger one that came running in after the first jake tried to mount the deke.
Missed a nice tom that circled around my dekes opening morning, shot just under him; then took a jake that day in the evening. Had plenty of action but the bigger birds mostly stayed on the private land with the hens; took a second jake late in the afternoon on my last day. Both were close shots as they approached my decoys, went right down. Got everything on video, need to do some editing.
