Thought since I finally got around to takin ya up on that invite, that I show you what Elkslayer and I are shooting. You recall my mentioning colaspasing the lower limb on my Black Beauty ( 67 Bear Super Kodiak ) in my long winded post as to what got me started?. Well, the next week-end, Friday evening, we load up into the Olds Vista Crusier and head on down to San Pablo to the "The Bow Rack" and I bought the Darton Fury, the bow on the right, in 2006, with my right rotator cuff torn, I could no longer draw the Fury, and so at long last, I gave to to my son. Continued next post.
The same night I bought that bow, I bought Elkslayer his first real bow, a 15# 48" rosewood Shakespeer, which he sold to a little neighbor boy who drooled over it everytime he saw it many years later. In November of 2007 I had the surgery to correct my shoulder, ( long workmans comp case ) and started shooting compounds, this year I bought my self a birthday present and got the other bow in this pic, a 1968 Ben Pearson Cougar. The Fury is 60" 48#s @ 28", he draws it 31", the Cougar is 62" 45#s @ 28", I draw it to 30".
