Cool to bad about the film dip peeling off. Have you tried them on the bow yet?
It'll probably be this weekend before I get a chance to try them out again. I tried them before I had them dipped, and they seemed to work very well. At the very least, equal to any of the Simms stuff I have tried, and equal or better than my old favorite Doinker/Saunders combo. I'll give results this weekend afterI get to shoot some more.
They both look great. It's a shame that these ..... did such a bad job. You must claim your money back.
EHunter I put blue painters tape around the grip of my FC400 and it took off the film too. I figure Martin will say tough titty so I haven't said anything to them about it.
I got a chance to shoot with the new stabs. I used the 7 incher on my FC400, and two of the 3 inch mods together on my Onza. Old FC stab was a little mini Doinker with a 5 inch Saunders stab in front. The 7 incher I made does seem to work just little bit better. Absolutely no shock at all now, and a bit quieter too, with great balance. On the Onza, I had just a mini Doinker with an end weight. (I think they called them Doinker A-bombs or something like that) I put two of the 3 inch stab mods on there, and it balances and shoots like a dream. No real difference in noise, but better balance and total reduction of shock. Neither bow was bad about shock before, but not it's completely gone in both bows. Had to use old '08 VEMS on the short stabs, so I could put my new VEMs back in the Onza riser. Now, I just need to get hold of a dealer so I can get some of the new VEMs from Martin, and I'll be set. All in all, I'd say the stabs are a 50% or more improvement over what I had been using.
That's good news, Ehunter!
Finished pics on the bows. The end caps are just furniture leg caps for now. lol Let me know what you think!
Again I can see why you would be happy with that. Looking good.
They look great!
