dragons Yes, it's a split main beam. Funny thing was, I'd only seen a few in my life, but the taxidermist said he'd had 3 come in by mid-October last year. That split measures 17 1/2 inches to the tip. Needless to say, I was pretty happy. I finally stopped shaking about Feb. lol

Oh my, awesome bucks man! I can only dream of taking bucks like that.... but some dreams do come true. For now, I'll keep trying. Congrats. dg.
is that a split main beam on a whitetail, sweet deer
bfisher, honest story. I think it was someone's way of paying back for all those past years of sitting in the freezing rain, snow, plain crappy weather, watching squirrels. lol
That is two dandy bucks. Congratulations. Yeah, I can see as how you would feel guilty-----LIAR, LIAR, Pants on Fire----------LOL.
busycraze I hate to admit this, but the bigger of those 2 deer was the easiest to get that I have ever taken. It was only my second day out hunting last year. Hadn't had time to scout during the summer. I'd been on stand for maybe 2 1/2 hours when he walked out into a cleared tractor path along a field at 23 yards. Damn near felt guilty shooting him, but.........Never turn down good luck.
