Wont the Martin bashing ever stop, next thing that <@*#&$&$$&$ person will be complaining the Martin bows are to SEXY......................
My take is that if the guy comes on here I will immediately shut him down. I respect his view, but he apparently lives in some other world than the rest of us. Things sexual have been used in various advertising since the beginning of time. The thread, in my opinion, has done nothing but use up valueable broadband space and create unneccessary controversy. While I respect the idea of religious freedom nobody has the right to dictate to others what they should believe in.
Barry
Agree totally Barry, well said.
I still can't work out why this has blown up to the extent it has. Its almost a poorly directed political strike, what did they think would happen? Like Sonny stated, Martin has been using girls for advertising for a long time and I hope they continue to do so.
Did have one positive, it encouraged me to buy a 2011 calender from the Martin online store.
The guy from AT is obviously not very well with the head (and may be not only with it) but he's right to a certain degree. We have a new ad for a Nestle icecream which is more then pornographic - the women from the adult movies act like nuns comparing to the girl who ... eats icecream. I used to love this icecream, but now when i see it i can only think of antibiotics :D
i can not stand it when people pull the im a christin card so anything that's not of my faith is bad.WE WERE ALL BORN NAKED.im done,i wi be going off at the hinges over this one.best i stay out.
LOL that is all.Quote:
i hope as a good Christian, you don't go to the pool or beach or lake or pond where women might have swim suits on...
it's marketing, plain and simple.
What is the old saying"never talk about relegion and politics".To each is own,but don't push your beliefs upon me;)
