Mamba: is it right for me?

ya i notice the bears and howatts selling just at or above my price range. any other brands that are dependable maybe lower in price?

I'm in the same boat as you are, just watched a '59 Howatt Mamba 64" 46# @ 28 go for $46.00. Needed some love, but a classic, it's just pulling the trigger ona $300 used bow, but it ain't for nothin that Howatt/ Martin has been making the Hunter for 62 years now. Still highly sought after. Most of the Bears biuyers are collecters, so they bring top dollar, Howatt Hunters are sold to guys who want to hunt with them. Or so it seems to me. Pearson Colts are 62" bows, and depending on the year, have some real nice wood. Around $75-150. There is a 50# Colt over on At traditional classified, last post Mar 20, down to $99 tyd, obo, around a 1959 model, Maple sight window.

thanks for the heads up. i PM'd him. ill have to read up on the colt. there are so many brands ive only read up on a couple like bear and damon howatt. ya im newb.
