Would it be possible to buy newer cams like nitrous cams or something similar, and put them on an older Martin bow that originally had Z cams? I doubt I would spend the money but it is something i wondered about.

The Fury, Furious, and Nitrous cams would probably work fine, but I would stay away from using Nitro or Hybrix cams on the older models as they don't have the reinforced limb tips required of the new slaved dual cams.Quote:

axle diamters the same? I have heard that cams with speed bearings need special hardened axles. Like I said I probably won't spend the money. But an interesting thought. With what a set of cams would cost, it wouldn't be cost effective.
