Tough glue to remove
i have some arrows i bought from lancaster made to order (i was up against it down at west monroe at the asa shoot and needed arrows). i don't know what glue they use, but its really tough to get off when i need to re-fletch. i'm used to just using my tater peeler to get the bohning glue off. it doesn't work on this stuff. any suggestions???

What kind of arrows? Boil some water and see if that softens the glue. Are they carbon or alum.?

Try ,,some alcohol or paint thinner and see if that softens it..It is made with a chemical base of some kind..

dont know if your gonna use a wrap or not but if you arent worried about the finish, use some super super fine grit sandpaper and either laqeur thinner of alchohol with it to wipe off the impurities. they make a tool to remove fletching glue but its kind of pricy for all it is. you can use a box cutter if you are very careful with it and do not dig into the arrow

I use an utility knife with the blade at 90 degrees to the arrow so your not cutting in to the arrow
