Lightweight, 36 inch axle to axle absolutely one of the finest bows I've ever shot.
If I could only have one bow it would be the alien Z no doubt about it.
I have a 2010 model. The only thing I disliked was the CCS. It pulls the cables too far to the side creating more than necessary fletching clearance and resulting cam lean. I Did modify it to get rid of some of this problem. The bow is definitely a shooter. As said, light weight, longer a2a, short brace to give me some speed. The only real problem is that it has the older style grip and I've taken a shine to the saddleback grip.
Awesome bow! Probably the one bow that I can shoot the most accurately of all the bows that I have shot!
so what can I expect of the Z?? tuning?etc... getting a 45-60 for hunting. shooting a 408 gr arrow. 30 in draw any thoughts of the speed??
Just and educated guess, but the draw cycle will feel the same. Brace height is 1/2" less so you should expect about 10-15 fps more speed at the same draw weight as the Shadowcat.
I have 2 and overall - shoot them more accurately than any of my other bows.
