We still, as always, are crazy with deer in our area. They are like fleas on a dog. But this year there has been alot of blue tongue disease going around. Alot of people been finding lots of deer dead by water.

Went hunting with the daughter again. No deer!! Rats!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I did get her within 40 yards of a full grown bull moose and cow. Went to take pics and found out that we didn't bring the camera. Rats again!!! Took pics with my phone not so good.

Hutch aren't daughters just delightful. Had 3 teenage girls in house at one time and a single dad at that, no wonder all my hair left. And $.

It's all about connecting with each other.
You are certainly doing that.!
You two just keep on being persistant and you will connect with that critter too.! :cool:

I would have gotten closer to get better pics but I love my daughter and wouldn't risk her life. But as we got closer and closer and my daughter was unaware of the moose I finally told her to stop and slowly look straight ahead. We were within 40yards. This bull moose looked right at us stiffed away then went back to rubbing the bark off the tree. He was approx 750 to 850 pounds. 1000lbs is average for what I have seen around here. The cow she was approx 650lbs and she had white boots on here rear legs. She too looked our way and sniffed away. But then walked up on the hill and disappeared in the woods with the bull. Funny thing is we watched them for a good 15 to 20 minutes. Great day even if we didn't get a deer or good pics of a moose.
