The bear was 6'1.5" from nose to tip of tail and scaled in at 497lbs...... Also the meat market in our valley said it was the biggest bear they had seen in the 15 years they had been here.
Don't stop now Walt, he's almost a contender, they do get bigger. The world record black bear came from Mendocino County, California in 1993. He scored a whopping 23 3/16" ! :DQuote:
