That is why we use a tru-ball cyclone. Even though we have Velcro, we have no arm on the release head just a strap. Once put on the head tucks in the sleeve and we don't even know it is there.

I shoot a tru fire velcro also. Not sure if sure if the buckle would work for below freezing hunting with different thickness layers and gloves. I like the adjustability of it. I do have a tru ball thumb release that I got in bow package. Will have to experiement with that.

I have an older TruBall Loopmaster, I was ready to get a new one until I changed to a leather buckle strap a few years ago.
