Well just got done putting in new shims and no luck. The idler wheel doesn't just freely spin but it doesn't seem bad to me. I can spin it and it will get about one full rotation and stop. Bearings?...
Side to side play in limbs..hmmm. Funny you bring that up because I thought about it and then brushed it off thinking there's no way. When I bump the riser the whole limb and idler wheel vibrates and...
So the idler wheel on my 2012 Pantera has developed a vibration/buzzing and I'm suspecting a shim issue. I already pressed it and moved the idler checking for any play to try and eliminate a bearing...
Yeah when I looked at the routing of my buss cable, that's kind've what I figured. I thought I would get a longer ATA but never imagined it would be an inch or more. Thanks for all the help!!
Side note: I'm shooting a 28" draw at 60#'s with a 404gr arrow and getting 255fps consistantly through the chrono. Like I said, not a speed demon but I hit my mark every time.
It is an awesome bow!! I had a Bear Attack before the Pantera and that was a great bow, fast and quiet. This Pantera isn't as quiet or fast as the Bear but it sure does draw a hell of a lot smoother...
Awesome!! That's good to know, thanks for the replies.
So how many twists should it take? Or round about how many will register, say, a half inch?
So I have my buss cable set to the -10 post on the cam and I was wondering if that will change my ATA to a new measurement? I have a Pantera and ATA is supposed to be 34" but I'm getting 35 1/4"....
Oh trust me, I definitely hear about it on a day to day basis...haha. The cloaked cams are sweet but ill never tell her that ;)
Thanks everyone! The Pantera is definitely a looker, has nice flowing lines. This is the first Martin I've ever owned and I am thoroughly impressed so far, great bow. @Tosi- that is the maxjax from...
Here are the pics of my new 2012 Pantera, annnnnd my girlfriends matching Pantera! Originally I was just going to get a bow but then she saw the other one with the cloaked cams and fell in love. Well...
I will definitely post pics, and thanks again for the help.
Was looking at the bowmaster as well. Do you use those limb adapters with solid limb bows too? I would think it better to press from limb tips no matter what design (split or solid).
Well I settled on the Pantera and have it on layaway, can't wait to get it home. Still blows me away how light it feels for its length. Draw felt a bit harsh compared to my Bear Attack but I'm quite...
Thanks for the welcome. I'm kinda leaning towards that Pantera due to the longer ata. Nobody has one of these bows? How about reviews on the cam? I'm liking the flexibility it has as far as draw stop...
And I don't even own a Martin, well not yet at least. My local shop has some Martin's on sale at killer prices and I just can't pass them up. The choices are a Cougar Fc, Pantera, and a Silencer, all...
