I can honestly say that the Septer V is a great choice for a target bow. Sorry I can't speak on accessories, I shoot my bow practically bare. But bang for your buck, its a tough act to beat.

If you are looking for a legal back up to a bow hunting "oops I missed and made my target angry" side arm, might I recomend this. http://www.sogknives.com/outdoor/gear/spirit-knife.html
It can be...
Can't stress that enough, keep your form. That was my mistake at the 3d shoot I went to, been working on it ever since.
And he's right on telling you to have fun and not worry about the score.

Exactly like that Sonny. Not that Nshepro got it wrong either, immagination is the limit. I think as long as...
So the other day, I take my scepter out(black carbon finish, same for limbs) and start cleaning it, waxing the string etc... So it's sitting there and I'm looking at it. Suddenly I don't just see a...
While I do use a compound bow, I shoot traditional style with it. And yeah I know my arrow flight is more lvl at the 20-30 yard than a trad/recuv bow (most anyways) but IMO, 20y is too short for...
Thanks for the replies gents. I'll start with the string wax and move up to the loctite if that fails.
cheers!
One of the screws on the lower cam module keeps geting loose. I've managed to stay on top of it but I'm worried that while out in the great outdoors, the screw might fall off and well... I'm not...
The victory HV arrows have been nothing but wonderful for me. I use the 400 spine, out of my scepter at 54.3 # they are just perfect. I also tend to have my arrows cut longer my DL is 29.5 and I...
Quictune 750: 40$
Hoyt pro stab: 60$
So about 100$ for my scepter V.
But I know what you mean, I see people with huge amounts of gear on their platform at my local archery club. I don't get...
I use the E-Z fletch and I have to say that after trying a few clamp based fletching tools.... Never again. This one is simple, works great and is super fast.
The difference being this isn't being sold on an infomercial.... IMO that says a lot! ;)
I often visit wimp.com, site always features very intesresting videos, in this case, a revolutionary household product. I can already imagine over a dozen applications for this and I just watched...
I would suggest you practice at a shorter range sightless to pratice form. 20 feet wil do it, if you can manage tight groups this way, you will have achieved good form and the rest will follow as...
I've been shooting the scepter V regularly since last may. The draw cycle is smooth, so is the release and the 40" ATA makes it a stable shooting platform. Fast, quiet, accurate.... Need I say...
My 2012 scepter V has the 2.0 cams, performs very well at my 29.5 draw lenght. Can't see why it would be different at 29.
Well, I can't help you much on the accessories side of things, I shoot my bow practically bare. But I can say this, you made a great choice for a target bow! :D
I'm privy to my Victory HV arrows, lightweight and tough enough for my budget. The 350 spine cut at 30 inch work wonders on y scepter and at 110$ for a dozen I'm happy. :D
LOL Hadn't even though of that, thanks Elkslayer. Short of a catastrophic equipment failure, even I would never miss this one. ;)

I doubt it, while he is accurate, he's not pinpoint accurate. Clearly his focus is on speed. Which is why I thought the comparison with Legolas was a bad choice. Curious though, does the penny...
Welcome to the forum my fellow CDN. Enjoy the new Rig, I still haven't come down from the high my Scepter gave me :)!

I caught this on a favourite website of mine. WIMP.COM, they post viral or interesting videos. I've seen many speed archers but his technique and where he...
Get your lady some flowers Hutch, mine would skin me alive if I shot my bow in the basement. :S
It's an indoor shoot, not sure if I'd be comfortable shooting outdoors in the cold, I don't mind the weather, not sure about my bow however. Am I being overprotective?
Thanks for the advice. ...
Good day ladies and gents,
I recently joined the local archery club in my home town (great people and a suprisingly eclectic selection of bows) and they will be hosting a 3d tourney in January...
