used a biscuit for years and then switched to a QAD ultra rest and love it.
I use a QAD ultra rest, no problems with fletching contact and it drops clean, no bounce back. shoot 1 1/2 to 2 inch groups at 20 yards.
Welcome to all the new guys, my name is Sean, 35 yoa, live in central Florida, hunt deer and hogs and target shoot on occasion.
I use a trophy ridge alpha V5 5 pin sight. the pins are vertical (less cluter in sight for me), has a level at the bottom of sight housing. Not sure of the pin size, 3rd pin down is red (40 yrd for...
Welcome to the forums, looks like a good set up on bow. Good Luck on your return to hunting
anyone have any fav's yet in the new line up?
I have used both and not had any problems with either. Used the biscuit for 10 years, but switched to a QAD ultra rest on new bow. Never had a fletch tearing issue with biscuit either.
May I add, welcome to the forum.
I see we seem to have gone back to standard cable slides.:)
Still shooting easton XX75 2219's. No problems and I like a heavy arrow to hunt with.
Nice buck:cool:, I think its a bat
I would be interested in seeing it if they decided to make one. which would you prefer, compound or recurve crossbow?
Ultra Rest by QAD is a good rest, I hear apache is also good.
Nice racks;):D like to see some hard antler pics of them
Very nice looking, i agree with some of the other posts, black w/red and a little yellow might look good.
Have probably 1000 shots w/loop on my prowler and about 100 w/loop on other bow and have not noticed any damage on loop as of yet with my release (team real tree brand). used to shoot with release on...
I have a 2003 prowler se, if you could post a pic it might help to ID the year, i have the specs for mine, will post when I get home.
glad to hear they are replacing the bow. did it give any warning before it let go like a creek or some other noise? or just pop and oh %#$Y.
shot a biscuit for years and never had a problem with it or speed. use QAD ultra rest now, but its a drop away (had shop set it up, no problems with it, easy to use). could try a tri van from mid...
I use lumenoks, how do they compair price wise and performance wise?
I'm not sure of the make or cost, but I know they make a camera that screws into your stabilizer mount that use an SD card.
didn't mean for it to sound like one size fits all. i shoot 3 blade fixed broadheads and they seem to be more accurate and fly better when in line with fletchings. i have seen 4 blade 4 fletching...
agree with bfisher, also make sure bow is properly set up for you i.e. draw length and weight etc, if you get a hand me down or a used or new make sure its set up for you.
