Isn't it great to have the option? Has anybody seen an actual cable failure due to the TRG?
Sorry, I guess I have been getting a little off topic. My cable wear is a touch more than I would like to see but I have been keeping an eye on it and it has not gotten any worse now a few hundred...
One other thing pertaining to "wrapping" the cams if someone could enlighten me? Mine are about 1/8" from the posts(cables that is), I'm at 73lbs. maxed Should I add more twists to the cables to wrap...
On the outer edge of my workbench I have a seamstress tape measure stretched and nailed to it using a strong nail on the end to attach the string loop to then I use a scredriver or allen wrench...
For me, marking the cams gave me a reference point, something definative to look at while checking the distance between the mod. and each cable for timing. The lighting in my basement isn't the best...
I found that as little as 1/2 a twist in or out of a cable can make a HUGE difference in recoil. I thought the cams on my Silencer were in sync and the bow had quite a bit of recoil. After taking...
Either go to a Limbdriven to the Max from Schmidtys specialty strings or just install a slipjax string silencer onto the cord, no more twang.
Another vote for Jax!! I've always been about asthetics and performance.
I won't shoot anything other than a Limbdriver. Absolutely the simplest design. Quick setup and adjustment.
Big speed gain!!
64.7 lbs., 28" DL, stock strings(long servings) 2 Bowjax in-string silencers loop and tru-peep: hunting arrow 366grains 276 FPS, light arrow 328 grains 296 FPS. I think that's pretty good!
The can and the pack rack.
Most of the silencer ad pics show it w/Hybrix cams and not Nitr2's?? Are they the same? Can I put Hybrix cams on my Silencer w/out changing anything else?
Just got mine and in the process of tuning for a combination of performance and less shock. I have a long way to got and don't yet have a chronograph(on the way). This bow seems very fast...
If the string twist is in clockwise twist, starting below the peep I serve clockwise and vice versa. Sometimes when my brain goes into vapor lock I find myself having to reserve 2-3 times. Seems like...
I had my AX tuned w/cams in perfect sync. tiller equal and @ 28" if I remember correctly I was getting 312fps 61ish lbs. and I think a 315 grain arrow. The cams were not wrapped up or at least I did...
I'm catching on here but my only question is which is more important twisting the cables or untwisting the string or a combination? When do we know to employ one vs. the other or the combo.?
I have a Silencer on the way and have been reading through these tuning threads. When I was seeking advice for my Aliens I was told anything other than perfect equal sync. of bothe cams will produce...
Not that I am not willing to give this a try but here are my concerns. Firstly, I used to own an '09 AX now a 2010 Nemesis and all info on these bows and cam systems were that anything less than...
One trick I learned the hard way is it's very important to serve a peep in the same direction as the string twist. So many times I've been frustrated with a string until I was given this tip. I find...
Not nearly enough!!
Practice from an elavated position alot more prior to the season!!!!
