Just measured one of my Shadowcat's; 1 1/2"
Thanks for the suggestions. I don't do swimming, but the weights are a good idea.
I talked to the shoulder specialist at length when I had my final exam and he told me that there was nothing I had...
Back in the summer I managed to dislocate my right shoulder. I was offered surgery to relocate the collarbone, but I'm not that keen on someone sticking knives into me, and for his part the surgeon...
Welcome to the forum Eric.
I have not seen a Scepter V yet, but some of your questions are common to the Shadowcat that I have.
Draw weight: The bow has three ranges of weight 40 to 50, 50 to...
Enjoy your new bow.
I have got both a 2010 and a 2011 Shadowcat. I can't speak too much about limbs, as both mine have Barnsdale limbs fitted, but with the 2011 model, the are not really necessary, just nice to have.
...
Both modules should be set to exactly the same number.
I had the same thing with my first Shadowcat. Unfortunately, the seller was not a nice person, and had changed the setting in order to cover...
I'm on GMT over here. Not sure what time shows up on my posts though. Never given it much thought.
Now I'll be looking to see what it is.
Edit: Well it's 7.09 am over here, and my post says...
Don't be so hard on yourself Don. I know it sucks when you don't do as well as you know you can, but remember...there's always NEXT YEAR :-)
And I thought I was the only one following Don's scores.
Well done Don, hope you had a great time.
I'm sure you're right, but it just seems to have happened very fast over here.
Wow! I'm impressed at you attitude, keep it up.
I'm lucky, as I'm tall (just over 6'1") and have always been 1) skinny and 2) very active... Martial Arts, mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and...
I prefer to match the string to the bow, but in most cases I go black & grey with grey centre serving and black end serving.
I've used Easton Lightspeed 400's for a long time, they come out at 7.4 gpi, and they are pretty tough too.
The trouble with a lot of light shafts is that they are fragile.
I'm only using field points (no hunting in the UK), so a straight or offset straight fletch will give me the fast stabilisation I need, and will also maintain as much speed (velocity) as possible...
Good job.
I am thinking of doing the same with my leopard spot camo cat.
What paint did you use?
Mid 70's? In January? I definitely live in the wrong place.
I would happily drive an hour and a half to shoot somewhere like that, thanks for the pics.
My buddy Kev has some FOBs for wet days, but still prefers feathers for hunting and for 3D comps.
I know there are a couple of drop away rests that can be used by finger shooters, but I'm not sure...
As a 'finger flinger' I need a touch more stabilisation on my (3D) arrows. For many years I have used NAP Quickspin 2.25's, but they stopped making them about a year ago, so as my stocks have run...
Most of the competitions I go to are 1 to 2 hours drive, but as I travel as part of my job (I'm in sales), they all feel like local shoots to me.
We don't have shops that organise shoots over...
Our season starts to get going late Feb early March; up until then it is just too wet, cold or icy depending where you are.
After that, things really get busy and I could pretty much be at a...
I had a little browse at the Target Bows in the AT classifieds today and noticed that the first of the 2012 bows have appeared.
I know only too well that you cannot always try a bow before you...
It's wet'n'windy here at present, so very little archery and no competitions yet; looks like you all had a good day.
Hat's off to Sue, I shot the same target at the same distance this year at a...
I am a frequent AT visitor, but 99% of my time is spent in the Finger Forum, or in the Classifieds, which is where I got both of my Shadowcats.
I got burned by the fanboys, when I got a reprimand...
Thanks for the write up. It's a bit of a shame the bow turned up with one cam out of tune, that's not something I would expect.
Regarding IBO: I thought the IBO speeds were obtained using a 70lb...
