My guess is that you don't have anything seriously wrong with your setup. Pictures would be priceless in this instance...otherwise we're just speculating.
Well, like many specs in the Martin spec charts, I'm quite sure the 45 3/4" spec is NOT accurate. With the Nitrous cams, the cables are ALWAYS 1.5" longer than the bow's finished ATA length. In...
I'm building a 2005 Razor-X Magnum with Nitrous B cams but I'm not sure what the ATA is supposed to be on that particular custom model. Does anyone know how much deflection they should have at...
Scepter Mag with Nitrous B cams should be 37.75" ATA with a 7.5" brace height. Draw length range will be 26-29" with standard modules. With 3M limbs, you're looking at a max poundage of...
You're the man, Darren. If I remember correctly, the Fury has the same axle to axle length as the Cougar with the standard 16" limbs so the string and cable lengths will be the same. If that's the...
I have a buddy with a 97 Fury and he's looking for string and cable lengths. I know that Martin used to offer that information on this website, but I can't seem to find the charts. The charts on...
My advice...go back to the Razor-X with Nitrous cams. Yes, I'm being honest and serious; the Nitrous cams and Elite limbs created a combination that was exceptionally easy to tune. Plus, you've...
If there's ANY advice I can tell you, it's to listen to EXACTLY what your surgeon and physical therapist say. I work in a PT clinic (graduating DPT 2014) and we see our fair share of rotator cuff...
If you were to shoot 60-70 pound limbs at 60 pounds, and a set of 50-60 pound limbs at the same poundage, I do believe that there would be a few differences.
As for speed, I don't think you'd lose...
The Nitrous cams are what you're after...
If you like a hard wall and little valley, they fit the bill. Also, you can get them in 65% let-off and they're the easiest cams to tune I've ever shot. ...
Yep...riser was unchanged until 2003 when it became the Cougar 3. They're awesome bows...I'm still shooting a 2001 MV2 Elite that I'll be putting some Furious cams on. Still haven't found one...
I should have taken some pictures, but this build came out so good that it's crazy. I tied up a set of strings to the same lengths that I guessed, and they were almost perfect. I had to shorten the...
Do yourself a HUGE favor and get the cables on the inside of the cable slide.
if you put your bow on a draw board and actually measure the AMO draw length, you'll see that it actually draws 31". the Martin charts are incorrect in that regard....the Scepter Elite uses #1 cams...
I'm pretty sure I came up with some good lengths...
ATA - 42"
String - 57"
Control - 48"
Split - 44"
Time to make a set and git-er-done.
I saw that too, but then I realized that the Tru-Arc cam is different than the Tru-Arc+ cams...I used the 2006 spec charts because they're the most recent. Thanks for the thought, though!
Probably not, but I have a set for sale if you're interested. Send me a PM on ArcheryTalk...my handle there is also CherryJu1ce.
I was a member on this forum for a long time...I guess I'm what you could call a "veteran." I'm a string builder myself...which is why I don't want to waste any time building a set I won't be able...
I'm building a 2002 Cougar Elite with Tru-Arc+ base cams (the Small base cams). I realize that there were no bows offered with the Tru-Arc+ cams in the 42" ATA range, so I'm trying to come up with...
