    Question arrow weight vs. speed

I'm curious: I'm currently shooting some hold over arrows from my old set up. A 27" carbon arrow weighing 437.5 gr. out of my new Bengal. I have a draw length of 28". This arrow is traveling at 244 fps. If I went to a 400 grain arrow what do you think my fps would be? How much speed would I gain?

You will be looking at a gain of 1 fps for every three to five grains of weight you drop from the arrow. So 38 grains should get you about 10 fps.
