I know the second picture isn't very good, but is this what you guys are talking about the cam cutting the string? If so, what needs to be done to fix the problem?

To be honest those string and cable are junk,if there stock martins,trust me on this,you need to get a quality set,Hutch can set you up with a good set ,when that control cable breaks over cam module that what seperates the serving.
If you have some sharp edges on the module you can take some fine emory cloth and sand it down smooth,But a good set of string and cables would be a good start.

nice set-up. But get rid of the strings. You'll be better off in the long run.
