Does anyone know if the Integrated V.E.M. Arrow Shelves which came out in '09 are backwards compatible with any older risers such as the Cougar III or C4?

I know some of older martins had that plastic piece that made up rest of riser edge,looks like if you took that off the VEM would fit,im just guessing though....
