its not about the scale Sonny. they sell 1/2 gr wts (small washers) that go on your points to match all your arrows.
what difference can three grains anyways, well i guess confidence

While I can see the point of being meticulous I always think money spent on a coach would be a better investment. 1/2 gr weights? You can't be serious!!!!!

Ok, kinda going off topic a little, but what do you all consider to be an acceptable variance in arrow weights? Say you just set up a dozen hunting or target arrows, and weighed them all. What's too far off for your liking? 1 gr., 5 gr.?

No more than 2 grains but I prefer all of them to be the same or at least the same as reported by my cheap grain scale.

1/2 gr weights? You can't be serious!!!!!

I dunno Barry, I could go for some 1/8 grain washers..................

In all honesty I don't think most people could tell a difference in + or - 5 grains. Rich McKinney has said it many times---consistant arrow spine is the most important consideration in arrows; both around any one shaft and from shaft to shaft.

Its important alright. If only spine measuring tools were cheaper, available more.

I want the polished ones. Cuts down on drag.

I just blew way too much time messing with my arrows. I weighed all the components and mixed and matched parts to get the most uniform weight. I have 5 arrows at 343.2 grains and one at 343.0 grains. I think that is close enough.
