I don't know about all people spreading it on pretty thick but there are some for sure. Some people are very anal about there things and treat them better than most people treat their kids. I can see some guys saying their bow is a 9 or 10 outa 10 even if it has been used for a year. I would be more careful dealing with someone I didn't know, but with that said if you do business with someone on AT you can get a feeling about them from the amount of feedback they have and how long they have been there. No way I would buy a 700 dollar bow from a guy who's only been there for 1 month and has 0 feedback. By the same token I wouldn't even consider buying a bow on craigslist unless they were close enough for me to meet them and try the thing before I would think about buying it. Kinda like buying a used car I guess.
