hey guys the serving on my cable just came loose , when i got the bow it was loose at that time also, I SUPER GLUED IT THEN , AND what do u folks think about gluing it again ? its been 4 or 5 hun shots since`then, this is a replaced cable

You can reserve it. But if it is over 2years old replace the set.

Can you post a photo? If the superglue worked then why not but it depends on how bad it is.

Check the grooves of you wheels to ensure there are absolutely no micro burrs that are the cause of the serving issues. Sand them anyway with a very fine grit anyway to be sure. It is hard to tell from your post just which part of the serving is coming apart. New strings are always a plus...treat yourself while the prices are good and turn around is short. Hunting season is fast approaching and has started in some areas.

Let me warn you about superglue. It becomes brittle with age and won't last. Also cold will affect it more. If the glue soaks the fibers and breaks the fibers are being broken or stressed. It is okay to use small amounts in less heavily flexed areas.
The best thing you can do is reserve it or have it reserved. It is not that costly $8 or around there.

But it wasn't "superglue" but a glue we use to mount photographs and mattes. It is a 3M product "Super 77" made for fibrous materials and worked well on the servings that were a wee bit frayed from some micro burrs. Sanded the burrs and used the glue and all was well.

Good point Hutch. I could see "superglue" getting brittle and not being flexible and eventually causing premature wear and tear.

If you check superglue and fletching cement the are one and the same. The only difference is one base chemical that causes a heavy sent.

That's exactly why I started buying the Loctite at less then $5 a bottle as opposed to Fletchtite and all the other privately labelled shop versions. But it is a small profit center for shops that carry their own brand. I never knock profit, just like saving money myself. Ignorance or lack of knowledge can be expensive.

I think reservinb would be your best option. It is well worth the few bucks it may cost. I actually had my string re-reserved for free here. I love my local Scheels store... they don't charge you for anything at all...... they just want you to buy all of your stuff from them... and I do!

k guys its at the yoke end of the cable from the top wheel i was wax- in it and it pulled down , i just twisted back up , it was the same way when i got the bow back from martin the last time,AND YES HUTCH I WILL BE IN TOUCH WITH U SOON lol ,i am going to need new stuff, i did super glue it last year and its held till yesterday huntins come- in up soon and , me thinks i should get new strings n cables bows a old bogger but it shoots good ,btw i think i need new arrows yep
