The deer we have aren't much good, some refer to it as 'only good for dog food'. The moose sounds like it would be nice.

I don't want to jump the thread but In the U.S I would guess that deer and elk are the #1 and #2 (big) game animal in hunting popularity. What are the 1&2 in Australia??? Got to ask 'cause I don't know...

Popularity would be deer and wild boar. Most common would be wild boar, goats and rabbits depending on location.

I'd love it to be deer and elk.

Thumbs up Have a good moose hunt...

Congrats and have a successful hunt. If moose is better than deer look out, I am salivating already. I am yet to have elk, but hopefully that will be remedied in the coming years. I have had squirrel, rabbit, alligator, coon, boar, possum and deer.

Mabel set the table, ring the bell cause I am hungry as hxll.

    Thumbs up You're Welcome....

Now I have been dreaming about Moose meat for the last two days, when you said it was better than deer, I can only image because I have had some great deer meat. My Pa knew how to butcher and cook deer just right. Some folks can hunt but they can't cook game to save their lives. The thought of something better than deer, Oh Boy! Bullwinkle is in trouble.
