I just purchased a #50 Martin Savannah and have put about 3 dozen shots on it...it's a dream to shoot! My question is about the year model...below is a pic of the serial number. Any help is greatly appreciated...man, I love this bow!

I can't read what the #'s are on the bow but the first two numbers should be the year the bow was made.

Default Those are really great bows...

Those Savannahs are some heavenly bows. They are addictive. Howard Hill and Fred Bear did some incredible things with their long bows. There is something of the sniper in making those long longbow kills...you have got to show us more pictures of that beauty.

That's what I read, but somehow I doubt it was made in 1941. Martin wasn't in business then. Tell ya what. I have seen and shot a Savannah and it truely is a nice bow.

....yeah, I can't remember which number means what in the serial number...but sweet bow...a real "smooth operator"!...tried resizing some of the pics...they just don't do the actual beauty of the bow any justice!

    Thumbs up Savannah...

Even without great images as her namesake she exudes sweet Southern charm...
