2011 Onza3

Well, shot my new 70# Onza this weekend. I gotta say, it was one of the easiest to tune bows I have ever had. Whisper quiet, very accurate, and a true pleasure to shoot. It's set at 73# from the factory, and is really zipping the arrows out there too. Now, I just have to figure out what's so different between this one, and my 60#er. There's a significant noise difference, and a bit of vibration difference. The 70# is the quietest bow I have ever shot, and the 60 is about average on noise. Gonna have to go over the 60 and my FC to see why they are not as quiet. Overall, a big thumbs up for the 70# Onza though. Might be taking it to Wyoming instead of my FC400.

you really are a martin junkie huh???? im thinking of getting an alien z though..... although i did go from not liking my ax very much to absolutely loving everything about it. i think it will sling a 400 grain aarow at 270fps with a 27.75in draw and 61lbs of DW.... other bows ive shot just dont have the same feel that ive come to love. its mostly just the feel as i release.

I had some noise on my Onza 3 that is set to 60#. I had to tighten all of the screws on it and the accessories. I am also going to change out the SOS to an STS of some sort. I also had to put Blue Loc-tite on the DL module screws as they kept getting loose and causing a rattle on release.

All in all I love the bow so I am working through the issues and hope to get them resolved before Sept 17th.

Are you using different arrow weights I have heard that it will effect noise and vibration.

Sharx, I'm using the same arrows I use with my FC400. 398 gr. total weight. The Onza is quite a bit quieter than the FC400 shooting these same arrows. The Onza is actually 3 pounds heavier draw than the FC400 also. 73# versus 70#. I have the exact same rests, sights, D-loops, whiskers, peep, everything is the same on both bows. Makes me think I have a timing issue possibly.

Every time I see the Onza, I like it more and more. I really need to get up to my Cabela's to shoot one. Think it is the only place near by that carries one. Might be able to get my hands on one at another dealer that has a few AX's on the shelves that I would like to shoot also. Bow looks sweet man! Hopefully the TRG doesn't give you fits, that is my only concern with this lineup - but I can't completely judge it until I have experience with it first hand.
