I HAVE NOT HUNTED WITH THEM. I REVIEWED THEM ON BROADHEADREVIEWS.COM THEY SHOT THEM THROUGH PLY-WOOD & A 55 GALLON STEEL DRUM & 1/4 INCH PLATE STEEL. THEY HELD UP BETTER THEN MOST 3 BLADE FIXED. I ALSO SHOOT A LOW POUNDAGE (55LBS) BAD SHOULDER THATS WHY I LOOKED AT CUT ON CONTACT BROADHEADS.
I WENT WITH THE LIBERTY 100 GRAIN BECAUSE IT HAS A LARGER CUTTING DIAMETER 1-1/8. THE SONICS 85 OR 100 GRAIN ONLY HAVE A 7/8 CUTTING DIAMETER BUT IF YA PUT IT IN THE BOILER IT WONT MATTER. I WOULD SAY SEARCH UNDER BROADHEAD TESTS OR AMERICAN BROADHEADS AND MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE. NICE TO SEE YOU BRINGING YOUNGSTERS INTO THE SPORT. GOOD LUCK AND LET US KNOW WHAT YOU FIND-YOU MIGHT FIND INFO I DIDNT.

I like 100 grain WASP Boss Bullet, or if you're looking at mechanicals, 100 gr. WASP Jackhammers. They both fly just like field points.
