    If you can take it off how about a piece of bike inner tube to dampen the sound.

    E-clips are sized to the groove diameter and width. So unless the groove is worn and widened the e-clip should be the right size?

    You have a good thought! Some fine thread, dental floss or fishing line might do the trick. You are just taking up any slack to stop the vibrations.

    I'd stick w/ the dental floss or use peep serving. Carefully drop a little hot candle wax into the serving per layer. Won't hold moisture, no rust.

    what about popping the clip ,make a washer out of a clear coffee can lid, should snug it up ,should be able to take up the slack,

    Another good idea, some bows have a thin plastic washer for that reason and it works really well!

    i havent messed with it yet. ive been building treestands and sticks. i got my new string from Hutch last week and havent got that on either. going to the pro shop Saturday to get my wife set up w her bow and get my strings on. i'll figure it out this weekend
