I just got a cheetah for me and my son----do these bows come set up with 65% let off or 80 % ?

welcome to the forum.you have the option of 65 to 80% let off by adjusting the draw stop.when the draw stop is at full draw by the + then you have 80% let off when it ist the lowest by the - then your at 65% let off.and you need to have in the proper mod as well.with out knowing more about your DL and what not that is about all i can tell ya.post some pice and all info on the bow and we can go from there

let-off is adjusted by moving the draw stop peg. at each end of the slot for the draw stop,there should be + and a -. towards the + increases the let off,the opposite direction decreases let-off.

I think I better explain this in better detail. The first thing you do is get the proper module for our draw length. Then you draw the bow till the cable wraps to the flat part of the module (full draw). At this position you set the draw stop. This should give you the full 80% letoff. If you do desire less letoff you can move the draw stop toward the - side of the slot, maybe 1/4" would reduce it to 65%.

The only thing you need to watch for is that if the draw stop is set to the full + side and you have a module for a shorter draw length you could actually draw the bow and rotate the cam too much, in which case you could rotate the cable off the module track and lock the bow up at full draw.

Adjusting the draw stop is not as difficult as it may sound. It's somewhat easier to do with two people. One draws and anchors and the other can play with the draw stop.

With the draw stop set correctly for 80% you'll get a very solid wall. If you draw the bow and it feels a little spongy then most likely it's set just a little too long.

80% standard. Martins use to have 65% modules as an option but I'm not sure they do that anymore. Like everyone else said you can adjust the valley with the draw stop to get a lower letoff if needed.
