Default Need Help Finding a Leg Kit For A 30 Gallon Plastic Barrel or DIY Ideas

I could swear I have seen kits to turn 30 gallon plastic barrels/drums into feeders. Now that I was given a 30 plastic barrel to make into a feeder I can't find the dang kits. My Google searches have left me empty handed.

If there are no kits do you have suggestions? The plastic barrel would need good support especially since it is 100* right now and would probably get soft and bend/collapse if you just bolted on some legs.

^^ The way it should be, never having to know if customer service is great or not! Too bad it isn't that way for all companies. It makes you wonder when eveyone knows about great customer service from a company doesn't it? ^^

You mean Ah 1, Ah 1 again and Ah 2!!!!!

Thanks Hutch. I like the pickle barrels nice screw on top. Mine has two small plugs so I would need to fill it with a funnel. I would love to find a kit but I still haven't found one. I have no metal working skills and a welder is $50 an hour so that negates anything DIY.

I was going to use the legs from my girls old trampoline when I make mine. Either make a base and mount it to that or bolts through the sides and compoletely through the legs.

Hey MLN, how about using pipe flanges and bolting them to the bottom and then you could screw in the legs

HutchThose are great but here are two problems. 1. It's for a 55 gal barrel 2. The legs are only 20" long. I need to get it up at least 3-4 feet to keep critters away from the motor that will be mounted underneath it. Life would be easier if I found me a 55 gallon barrel but my mother in law got me this one so I need to try use it. LOL
