Default Peep not lining up ?

My peep won't line up about once in about a dozen shots. All that it takes is to slide the d-loop alittle then draw back good to go. This is fine if you remember!!! It seems to me that the d-loop has worked lose on the serving. Tried re-tightening the loop works for several days. Then I have to make that slight adjustment again. Would it work to put a small drop of glue at the serving/d-loop junction to stop this? This is one reason I went so long without a peepbut eyesight and switching from right to left dictates a peep atleast for a while.

    Thanks for any insite.

More than likely the center serving has loosened enough to allow the d loop room to float. I would re serve the center serving and put a new d loop on.

You need to get the peep lined up correctly too, the d-loop can only do so much.

Don't use any glue. That can actually weaken your serving and/or string. Is your string twisted? If so, it may have loosened and your pro shop can add a couple of twists. You could also switch to the rubber tube style peep. May slow you down a hair and be a bit louder though.

NAY to the rubber tubing , would rather go back to no peep then take the chance of a tube breaking at full draw !!

Never gave the serving as being loose. Guess I'll be giving Ron at Extreme Bowstrings a call and see when I can get in.

Thanks guys. Starting to like this site alot more then AT.

I used a drop of super glue on mine because the D-loop kept spinning on the string. Once I lined it up one drop at the top of both ends and have not had a problem since.
