Wow, is your stated draw true draw or AMO (true + 1.75")? Because if its AMO we have the same draw and my arrows are about 15 grains heavier but you're much faster. I wonder if the lighter arrow and +3 lbs of draw weight make that much of a difference?

Mine's true draw, not AMO. AMO would be right at 30 I think. The bow also came with the cables twisted up pretty tight, to get the most out of the cams. It was the best set-up bow from Martin that I have ever gotten, as far as everything being right. ATA, BH, etc. Getting right at 77.6 # KE out of it.

Nice. Mine came at 71#, but nothing else was to spec. I ended up twisting the cables up quite a bit to get the ATA and BH right. Now the speed difference makes sense though lol. You had me worried for half a sec there and I was wondering what your secret was!

What mod setting are you using to get your draw length? I'm using the #4 hole and getting a 28.25 true draw.

My bow came on the #4 hole, which is supposed to be 29". I have it on the #1 hole, which is the shortest draw setting, and supposed to be 27.5". It was a touch too long and I shortened (twisted) the shooting string up a little bit.

I was a little irritated because I emailed Martin before I ordered the bow to ask if their advertised draw specs were AMO or True. They said that all of their bow specs are listed AMO. Which would mean that the Onza's shortest draw setting should be 25.75 true draw and I would have plenty room in the cam to play, as I have a 27" true draw, and prefer just a touch under 27"... Right now my Onza is set for a 26.5" true draw. Thus the 28.25 AMO in my sig which is .75" longer than Martin's stated shortest draw length for the Onza...

I wonder what it is on these Onzas and the draw length. They seem to be far closer to True Draw, than AMO. I haven't noticed it on any other Martin bows though. They all seem to be AMO.

Not sure whats up with the Onza's you guys have, but all the ones that I've setup, including my own have been darn near right on AMO draw lengths. I shoot a 28.5" AMO DL and my own Onza is spot on with the mods set in the number 3 position and the draw stop set for 80% letoff.

Maybe you can show them how you set up and check their bows and all the lengths. To see if there is something they are missing.

All I do is to set the string and cables to factory specs under 100# tension. Don't worry about the A2A and brace as those specs are only approximate anyway. If the string/cable lengths are correct, the A2A and brace will be pretty close.

the only bow ive seen with a whitetail setup shoot a bit over 300 at the crono was my buddies bowtech and he got to like 310 with c/e 350 maximas. but his was maxed out at 75# and the draw was 29". but for what he payed and what the bow is rated at which i think is 343, martin is the bang for the buck
