    Default Installing Cat Whiskers?

So I just got some cat whiskers in, not sure how to "tie" them to my strings. October Mountain Products, if that means anything. There are 3 colors, I've heard people say just bringing to pro shop and have them put on but bow season is a few days away and am a little busy. Thanks, you guys rock. Timmy

i tried using the method described on the "other" site. lets just say it helps to be smarter than the object you're working with. which, clearly,i am not. lol

I tried watching a video on how to put them on and mine came out terrible looking. Thankfully they made it quieter.

One thing I tried, and have stuck with, is tying them on between the cam and the speed nocks. Get them as close to the speed nocks as possible, but on the cam side. This is for the golfball sized method of tying them on. It does a good job of quieting the string down, and actually gained me 2-4fps depending on the bow.

Well, I don't have any old bow strings around as per youtube vid. I was thinking of using some 10-20 lb Fireline fishing line coated with wax.

So you guys say it doesn't work the ways shown? I was thinking a mix of both using a constrictor knot with youtube rednecks sized whiskers. I am a redneck too so not discriminating.....

    Ehunter...speedknocks meaning leeches?

Who cares about the other "m" site anyway. THIS IS the real M site.

tla, my new bows that I have tie the whiskers on all have speed nocks on the string a couple inches down from the cams. I haven't put them on any of my older bows that don't have the nocks though. I would still try to keep them as close to the cams as possible, without getting any interference. They'll still do a good job of silencing, and probably won't effect your speed at all that way. Might even help it just a bit. The further towards the center of the string they are, the more they'll slow down your bow.
