    Default price of new limbs????

i need a price for new alien x 45-60# limbs. i found a surface splinter on the bottom limb near the limb bolt about 2 1/2-3 inches long. it doesnt go down into the limb at all just on the surface. my nearest martin/rytera dealer is 35 miles away and i would like to get a price here first, so i can compare with them and not have them rip me off. any info would be great. thanks.....dave

I'd call Martin customer service, and talk to them about it before I bought a new set. Might be under warranty.

Last time limb price was brought up, it was $198, if I remember correctly.

In the 2011 parts catalog New Power Tuff limbs are listed at $148.93, retail. Replacement limbs for your Alien X should be covered under warranty. Your dealer may charge for labor costs which Martin will not cover. You'd have to discuss that with him, but changing limbs is a fairly simple procedure that shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour or so.

As EHunter said, give customer service at Martin/Rytera a call and ask for the warranty dept. 1-800-541-8902

the bad thing is i got the alien 2nd hand or 3rd hand, either way i bought it used so i doubt that the limbs would be under warrenty. i already went and got a pse omen, fast as hell, but i love the letoff of the alien. i will continue to shoot the alien for indoors and everyday shooting, untill the limbs blowup. i just didnt want to be hunting and have the limb letgo on me. that is the only reason i bought the omen, oh and i got a killer deal on it. im still a martin/rytera guy with a secret OMEN on the side.

Even not being the original purchaser, you should contact customer service. The worst they can say is no, but more likely, they will want to get an unsafe limb off the bow and out of circulation. Doesn't cost more then a phone call.

I'd call CS, as Money Man said all it'll cost you is the call. I read about Martin's CS going the extra mile many times here on this board.
