explain limb numbers?

Could someone give me the run down on what the limb number/letter stands for? I have a '09 bone hunter(cheetah) with 3M hand written on the limbs.

thanks, that helped some. But I still would like to know what the number/ letter means. I was looking at the past bow spec page and certain bows came with certain limbs. My bow is listed with 3m limbs.

The number/letter is just Martin's way of labeling them so they can pick a certain deflection code on a particular bow model to achieve a certain poundage. For instance, a 5M might designate 45-60 on a given bow (FireCat 400) while the same limb on a bow of different geometry and cam would make that bow a 55-70.

The number gives poundage in 5# increments. The letter, L (low), M (med), and H (high) would change poundage by approximately 2# each.

Okay Barry, What does the C stand for on my 2010 Bengal? The limbs have 5Lc on them.

Very good, elkslayer. Those would be the 4 layer limbs. Just like the 2011 limbs would by 5LP (Powertuff).

5LP would be solid - 1 layer.
