im with ya on that. started season w the the flu, turned into bronchitis, then got strep throat. in the middle of it all,my wife loaned out my car and it ended up getting wrecked. scrapped that one,and now the ball joint just went out on our other car the other day and its been wind a rain since. but i manage to sneak across the road and hunt public land for the last hour of light a couple times. not ideal, but its time in the woods. i haven't been able to hunt any of my private land stands yet. but, staying positive,at least those spots are going undisturbed and scent free. i might as well stay out of them entirely til the chase begins.

I was in Walmart the other day, and thought about buying a few carbon arrows. I just bought 4 doz. new aluminum arrows, which is what I prefer, but the Walmart specials were cheap enough to experiment with. Picked out three nice ones that I thought would work...was really kind of hard to tell by the markings on the arrows and box. Then I noticed down on the bottom of the shelf, kind of off to the side, there was a chart that had all the arrows on it, what they were made from, stiffness, average straigtness, etc. Come to find out, the "Carbon Express" arrows I had in my hand weren't carbon at all, but fiberglass. A closer study of the chart also revealed none of the arrows available were a close enough fit for my bow, draw length, etc., etc. So I gave up.
Sledge
just picked up a dozen last night. a few inches longer than what i shoot now(29"vs. 26.75"). i picked up some reflective stickers to help w finding them after dark. Deer season is about done(Jan. 1st) and i'm already looking forward to smokin' some coons this spring. i'm down to my last 2 HT-2's. thanks,in part to my coon obcession. lol. that's why i picked these up. who knows? if they can take some abuse,i might just buy more for deer. will keep y'all posted.

My local WM has been sold out of those for a long time. You better get them while the getting is good. Once WM move to the next season you won't be able to get them until next year.

^^ The way it should be, never having to know if customer service is great or not! Too bad it isn't that way for all companies. It makes you wonder when eveyone knows about great customer service from a company doesn't it? ^^
startin' a new thread. don't wanna 'Jak Hutch's. lol
