Possibly stupid question, differences between pro x & tr2
Hey guys gotta a question as I'm not sure. I'm picking up another Martin, it's a 09 Firecat Pro X and I'm wondering what's the differences between the TR2 which I know is a dual cam and the Pro X which is also a dual cam, are the limbs/cams different?

Thanks GD that helps ALOT I actually bookmarked it, according to that chart they're completely different bows it's not just Cat and Cat 2 cam difference. It shows the Pro X at 37" a2a and the TR2 at 32.25" a2a but lists the string/cables as the same? Am I missing something? I've also heard that it's possible to put Cat 2 cams and TR2 limbs on the Pro X is that a wise choice if it's not already been done?

i dont see why a guy could not swap them out.the strin and cable being the same on a 5" diff for ATA is weird to me,maybe the info is wrong on the page.

I had an '09 Firecat ProX and it was a 32.25 inch ATA. I think the website has something misindentified. Having had the '09, and a 2011 both, I can find little difference in the two bows, other than the TRG/SOS change from the CCS/STS and the grip.

That explains it then, I was thinking the Pro X was under 34" a2a, so a simply cam/limb swap from a TR2 and I'm good to go, thanks guys, I want what the pro and cons of doing that swap are?

probably the same pros/cons as swapping dual cams on my Cheetah. lotsa headache for little,if any,real gain. i'd still like to do it,though.

That's kinda what I was thinking, heck if I'm gonna do that I should prolly see about swapin 2011 firecat 400 limbs and nitro cams instead

It would be cheaper to just sell it and buy the bow you really want. The parts cost will add up faster than you can imagine.
